The Lord of the Flies

Humans are more likely then animals to misbehave. In a wolf pack there is one alpha wolf and every other wolf follows that one wolf. The alpha is assigned to that position by showing no fear and by being fierce. Once the wolf does what is necessary all the others follow him no matter what. In the book Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, Ralph is chosen as the leader by almost every one, but they do not respect him. When Ralph says something they do it for a minute, then they do whatever they want to do. Jack is more like the alpha though. He is assorting himself to try and become the leader. Not a lot of people like Jack, so he is not a good leader either. Humans are not like animals though, they don’t respect each other like wolfs do. Wolfs will respect the alpha and stand behind if another wolf tries to take over. The little boys and the others do not really respect Ralph, they just want someone to care and protect him. They respect Jack more because he is fierce and fights for what he wants. So humans just are not like animals in respect and doing as they are told.

Technology

We use technology every day. We are using it to wite this blog. We use it when we call or text somebody. I use technology when i use my phone, computer, or Ipod. Technology is a good thing and a bad thing. It is a good thing because you can get a hold of anybody at anytime of the day or night. You can also study any subject at anytime or when you have access to a computer. Now you can chat face to face on your computer and even on your cell phones. Technology is moving and improving at such a fast rate that I don't know where it will be in a couple of years. Technology is also a bad thing because it does stop socialization. people now spend most of the time wathcing television, using the computer, and using their cell phones. Some people might say it helps socialization because people can now meet and arrange meetings a lot easier now. You can talk on your phones for hours on end but you don't get that face to face talking that you use to. Now you see what I mean when I say technology is a good thing and a bad thing.
